Sian is a specialist respiratory physiotherapist based in Evesham, South Worcestershire. She is experienced and passionate about respiratory care in the community with over 12 years experience. Sian works with a variety of patients ranging from chronic lung disease like COPD, bronchiectasis, chronic asthma, pulmonary fibrosis and covid-19 to adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Sian is an independent prescriber within the respiratory field giving her in depth knowledge of respiratory medication. She is skilled at developing bespoke treatment plans and ensuring the basics are done well before moving onto more complex treatments.
She set up Midwinter Physiotherapy to provide home visits to local people for all their physiotherapy needs and is now pursuing her passion within respiratory and started up The Lung Physio education platform and virtual consultations. This provides bespoke education for healthcare professionals, carers and families such as inhaler technique demonstrations, chest clearance, breathlessness management and training packages such as using suction in the community. Sian thrives on complex cases and pushes the boundaries of care to ensure the best for each individual.
Sian has been working with Clare, a client with Rett syndrome, for over 6 years. We know each other pretty well now and Clare has a very in depth physiotherapy programme which has improved her quality of life and reduced need for hospital admission.
